Mixer Showers

A mixer shower has two inputs, one for hot and the other for cold. They are mixed together to create the desired temperature. You can get a mixer shower with a thermostatic valve that will protect you against temperature spikes or drops. This mainly happens when someone else in your household uses water from another source. Most Mira showers are fitted with a thermostat.
The best mixer shower for a combi boiler is a thermostatic mixer shower. Typically they are considered the best type of shower to pair with combi boilers as it can control fluctuations in temperature and maintain a consistent temperature even when someone from your household tries to use hot water while you're showering. Power showers are the only shower that shouldn’t be used with a combi boiler.

A mains pressure combination boiler is suitable for electric, digital and mixer showers. If your hot water supply isn’t an issue for you, you may prefer a mixer shower as it has a powerful flow and also gives you more of a boost than regular electric showers.
Thermostatic showers are not reliant on electricity as they use the mains water supply to function. This makes electric showers a popular choice for ensuite bathrooms and shower rooms as they are economical and their temperature is not affected by other water use elsewhere in your home.
